The research team wanted to demonstrate the advantages of using multispectral aerial imagery combining visible and near infrared as a tool for analyzing and diagnosing soil productivity in precision agriculture.

It can be said that multispectral imaging is a very good tool for analyzing and diagnosing soil productivity because a high chlorophyll content implies a large amount of biomass and a significant amount of biomass is synonymous with high crop yield. Soil composition can also be considered, and this study shows that the presence or absence of certain chemical elements influences crop yield.

Advantages: The use of aerial imaging allowed farmers to get an overview of their fields and take the necessary actions.
