Objective

The mandate involves evaluating the relevance of the method developed by Rosa et al. (2018) for assessing the hydrological diversity of wetlands.

Specific objectives are as follows:

  1. Compile and describe available datasets.
  2. Perform classification using the best available datasets.
  3. Create maps representing the hydrodiversity of wetlands.
  4. Prepare a methodological guide outlining the key steps of the method.

Methodology

The PACES-AT-II project method serves as the foundation for the wetland categorization strategy. According to this methodology, the hydrogeological and hydrological functions of wetlands are determined by their position within the geological environment and the hydrographic network.
