Description

The project consisted of priority identification and the acquisition of existing bathymetric data from the Canadian Arctic, which was not accessible by the Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS). Thereafter, 25 datasets could be added to the database. Below is an estimate of the element types collected:

  • Coverage area of 257,558 km2 par multibeam echosounder systems (SEMF or MBES)
  • Line length of 17,440 km per single beam systems (SESF or SBES)
  • 778 points per one-time survey

All data is associated with available metadata, subsequent metadata standardization work has been carried out.
