Objective

Our team was commissioned to perform a 3D scan of the interior of the Generalate of the Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, located in the municipality of St-Damien-de-Buckland. This building is listed as part of Quebec’s cultural heritage.

In order to repurpose the building, the architects require an accurate and detailed digital representation of the building’s interior structure. 3D scanning provides reliable results that enable a thorough understanding of the space and facilitate decision-making throughout the renovation and repurposing process of this historic site.

Methodology

Data Acquisition:

We use the VLX 2 mobile LiDAR scanner to capture high-resolution 3D data of the entire interior of the building, taking into account different perspectives and viewing angles.
